"What we do in life echoes through eternity". I disagree. It echoes until you’re forgotten, because like your great-grandfather, you only remember the people you spend time with. It’s why I say, “You have to create a moment to create a memory.” Bringing people together is hard. Planning a party sucks, unless you love the look on people’s faces when they’ve met someone important, when they’re dancing out of their comfort zone, or they’re laughing their socks off because a magician just blew their mind.

I love throwing parties because I love bringing people together. Because you remember the moments that were out of the ordinary. It’s not where you’re at, it’s who you’re with, and this week, we brought together some incredible people. We delivered a product no one has seen before, in a novel space, doing something really freakin hard. And it was the wildest week of my life, but in the end, it was all worth it, because every story needs a beginning, and a great first chapter is why you stay to finish the book.

So if you’re building something, take the moment to bring whoever believes in you together. A dinner. A party. A coffee meetup. Connecting people with shared interests makes you sticky in their lives, and when the sands of time wrestle us to the ground, all we’ll have left are the people we enjoy spending time with and the memories we’ve had with them.
